About us

Who we are

We are a community group providing practical support and early help to people of all ages to solve family problems before they become crises.

Family Comprehensive Services (FCS) is a community‑interest organisation delivering holistic, integrated support to children, young people, families, vulnerable adults, differently‑abled people, and elderly residents. Our services are informed by the Families First Partnership Programme model, ensuring that families receive timely, preventative support that addresses emerging needs before they escalate.

We operate as an early intervention and preventative service, bridging the gap between universal services (such as schools, GPs, community groups) and formal Early Help or statutory social care. By providing practical support, advocacy, wellbeing services, childcare, and crisis intervention, we help families stabilise challenges early, reducing the likelihood of escalation to social care involvement.

Our approach is trauma‑informed, strengths‑based, culturally competent, and rooted in partnership working. All surpluses are reinvested to expand support, strengthen resilience, and maximise public benefit.

How our Work Benefits the Community

FCS strengthens families and communities by:

• Preventing escalation to statutory social care.
• Reducing poverty, hardship, and crisis.
• Improving mental health and emotional wellbeing.
• Supporting children to remain safely within their families.
• Increasing skills, employability, and economic stability.
• Reducing isolation for elderly and vulnerable residents.
• Enhancing community resilience and safety.
• Ensuring community voices shape local and national reform.
• Creating a sustainable social enterprise that reinvests all surpluses into public benefit.

By bridging the gap between universal services and Early Help, FCS ensures families receive timely, accessible, and culturally competent support that prevents issues from becoming entrenched or requiring statutory intervention.
